Welcome - We are delighted to welcome you to Hotel Bären am Bundesplatz in the heart of Bern.

To make your arrival and check-in as smooth as possible, you will find all the important information here – from travelling by car or train to check-in times and luggage storage.

Arrival by Train

Hotel Bären am Bundesplatz is located just a five-minute walk from Bern Main Station, making it easy to reach on foot. Leave the station towards Bundesplatz. Our hotel is located directly next to the Swiss Federal Parliament (Bundeshaus) and is clearly signposted. Thanks to our central location, many of Bern's main attractions, restaurants and shopping areas are only a short walk away.

Arrival by Car

If you are travelling by car, the hotel is easily accessible via the A1 motorway. As the hotel is located in Bern's city centre, we recommend using Casino Parking. You may stop briefly in front of the hotel to unload your luggage. Our Reception team will be happy to provide further information about nearby parking facilities.

Check-in

Your room will be available from 3:00 pm on the day of arrival. If you arrive in Bern earlier, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us free of charge and start exploring the city

An early check-in may be available, subject to availability. We are happy to check availability before your arrival or on the day of check-in. Depending on the arrival time and room availability, an additional charge may apply.

Hotel Bären am Bundesplatz does not have its own parking spaces or underground garage.

For reservations made through third-party booking platforms, breakfast is not included but can be added at Reception at any time for CHF 22.00 per person per day.

Air Conditioning

All rooms feature individually controlled air conditioning. Please note that our air conditioning system is not in operation from October to May.

Coffee machine & Kettle

Every room is equipped with a coffee machine and an electric kettle, including a selection of coffee capsules and tea bags.

Drinking Water

Bern's tap water is of excellent drinking quality. Each room is provided with reusable glass bottles, which can be refilled during your stay. A BRITA water station is available in our WohnBar for your convenience.

Refrigerator / Minibar

Our rooms intentionally do not feature a minibar or refrigerator as part of our sustainability concept. If you have medication or other items that require refrigeration, we are happy to store them for you upon request.

Laundry Facilities

Hotel guests are welcome to use our washing machine and tumble dryer free of charge. Laundry detergent is available at Reception for CHF 3.00 per pod.

Fitness Room

Our fitness room on the 5th floor is available free of charge for all hotel guests. Opening hours: Daily from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm

Extra Blankets & Pillows

Need an extra pillow or blanket? Simply let Reception know, and we will gladly bring it to your room.

Pets

Dogs are warmly welcome at our hotel. Please let us know at the time of booking if you will be travelling with your four-legged companion.

Non-Smoking Hotel

Hotel Bären am Bundesplatz is a 100% non-smoking hotel. Smoking is prohibited throughout the building. A cleaning fee of CHF 250.00 will be charged in the event of non-compliance.
